A Wink and A Smile Cabaret is based in Adelaide, South Australia. The production company was created in September 2007 by performers Dahlia Opala and Catherine Evans, whose love of vintage glamour, music and dance was a natural platform to cabaret burlesque performance and production.
Rather than a choreographed troupe, A Wink and A Smile Cabaret productions showcase a cast of talented and gorgeous artists performing their own work, ranging from classic 1930's glamourous fan dancing, vaudeville comedy, cheesecake cabaret, bellydance and modern neo-burlesque with a twist. The talented cast endeavours to deliver performances which will tease, delight and surprise. A Wink and A Smile Cabaret is based in Adelaide's 'House of Burlesque', the richly atmospheric La Boheme bar, 36 Grote Street, Adelaide.
Since the company's inception, A Wink and A Smile Cabaret can boast sell out seasons in the 2008/2009/2010 Adelaide Fringe Festivals, 2007/2008/2009 Feast Feastivals and the 2008/2009/2010 Cabaret Fringe Festivals.
